<p style="text-align: justify;">We have made an attempt to study magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) disturbances inside the coronal arcades by solving a pair of second-order two dimensional partial differential equations. MHD modes of oscillations of coronal arcades are investigated. It has been shown that the factors responsible for oscillatory modes give rise to the propagation of MHD waves.</p>
