Measurement of dielectric constant (K') and loss (K") of light rare-earth nickelates of the type RNiO3 with R = La, Ce, Pr, Ne, Sm and Eu have been reported in temperature range 300-1200 K. All the materials have been prepared in the laboratory by solid state reaction technique and characterised by XRD. Studied materials have high value of K' and low value of K" at lower temperature. However, at higher temperature increase becomes much faster and is due to space charge effect of thermally generated charge carriers. Temperature T1 is different for different materials.
