Mechanoluminescence behavior of (Cd0.95Zn0.5)S: Ag doped phosphor when load of 250 gm was dropped from 50 cm height for 2.5 Molar % concentrations of Ag ions has been studied. The particle size of (Cd0.95Zn0.5)S:Ag were calculated by Debye scherrer’s formula and it was found to be 185 nm. Miller indices has also been calculated. (Cd0.95Zn0.5)S:Ag sample has been prepared by solid state method. The effects of UV-Exposure time on luminescence characteristics were investigated.
In this paper we have considered the oscillatory flow performing small harmonic oscillation in a channel of gap h. Our analysis is based on Ishigaki5,6 work in which, he has assumed the stream unsteady flow with its conjugate complex part. We obtained the amplitude of the fluctuating velocity gradients its variation with respect to transfer magnetic field. An exact analysis of oscillatory MHD Couette flow has been performed by using series solution method. Numerical calculations are made for phase angle and shearing stress of the unsteady MHD flow in a horizontal channel for various values of Hartman number.
Recently Many researchers has given attention on the study of the expanding nature of the universe with variable fundamental constants. It is also believed that the inclusion of vacuum energy term can greatly affect the cosmological theories. The basic purpose of this investigation is to highlight the hidden connection between Finsler Geometry and Riemannian Geometry along with theory of expanding universe.
A mathematical model has been developed for the studying of pulsatile flow of blood through a stenosed artery with periodic body acceleration. Herschel – Bulkley fluid has been taken to represent the non-Newtonian character of blood. Perturbation method is used to solve the resulting system of non-linear partial differential equation with appropriate boundary condition to analyze the flow. Analytical expressions are obtained for axial velocity, volumetric flow rate and wall shear stress. Their variations with different flow parameters are plotted in figures. It has been observed that the axial velocity increases as body acceleration increases but the volumetric flow rate increases with the increase of body acceleration with time.
Plastics have became a symbol of our throw-away society. Majority of plastics are non-biodegradable but are recyclable with the technological advances, plastics recycling is economically feasible. Now-a-days recycled materials are even competiting with virgin materials with the exception of very few field on the basis of price and performance. Recycling issue should not be assessed purely in terms of environmental considerations because recycling makes good economic sense too.
Endosulfan a well known pesticide has been used to preserve fruits, vegetables, pulses and food grains from infesting pests in the farming sector. Even after harvesting they are sprayed with it to avoid rotting. This pesticide enters into the body of human being through inhalation, skin and also by consumption of these food materials. This has a hazardous impact on the health conditions of anybody who comes in contact with it. The various effects caused by this organo-chlorine pesticide is analyzed by making use of the simple Fuzzy Cognitive Maps [FCMs].
Encircled Energy Factor (EEF), Excluded Energy and Relative Encircled Energy are important corollaries of the Point Spread Function (PSF) of an optical system. In this paper, we have studied the Excluded Energy, Relative Encircled energy to understand their role as Point Image quality assessment parameters of Optical systems with amplitude apodised rotational symmetric filter functions
This work deals with the study of thermal radiation and MHD on mixed convection flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid through a porous medium with variable permeability in the presence of oscillatory suction. The influence of a first-order homogeneous chemical reaction, heat source and Soret effects are analyzed. The resultant governing boundary layer equations are highly nonlinear and coupled form of partial differential equations which are solved analytically using two-term harmonic and non-harmonic functions. The effects of different physical parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration fields as well as skin-friction coefficient, Nusselt number and the Sherwood number with their amplitude and phase are discussed in detail. The results are presented graphically anddiscussed qualitatively.
Iron is an essential element for almost all living species. Previous studies demonstrated that both the growth rate and concentration of chlorophyll a in cultures of cyanobacteria were limited by insufficient Fe concentrations. The cyanobacteria biological soil crust in desert where most rain falls seasons are dominated by filamentous species are
well adapted for primary colonization of arid environments due to their extraordinary ability to survive desiccation and extreme temperature, high pH and salinity. Satellite imageries are widely used to map geological and environmental features at different scales. To date, little research has been done to spectrally examine biological soil crusts or map them using remote sensing. Recent researches demonstrated that ASTER visible- near infrared scanner systems can be used successfully to map iron ores and cyanobacteria soil crust. In this study Mathematical Evaluation Method (MEM) performed on ASTER imagery data, firstly. This research demonstrates cyanobacteria growth –iron contamination relationships by remote sensing techniques at the Chadormalu desert, Yazd Province, Iran. In other words, this study illustrates directional relationship of spatial distribution between cyanobacteria soil crust and major iron ores contamination at this mining area, probably related to cyanobacteria physiology. The MEM method, despite being approximate is suitable in detecting iron contamination in inaccessible remote areas on earth or may be useful in astrobiological studies, especially, in Mars biological explorations.
Synthesis and structural elucidation of organotin(IV) complexes with 2-aminothiophenol(ATP) and 2-aminophenol(AP) of composition [SnA3L] and [SnA2L2] (A =C6H5 or C6H5CH2, L= monobasic bidentate anion of ATP or AP) having trigonal bipyramidal and octahedral structure respectively have been reported. The complexes have been characterized by analytical, conductance, IR, UV-vis and ‘H NMR Spectral data.
